Signy Bjornsdottr is a shaman dedicated to the polar bear in a brand new LotFP campaign being run by Joe The Lawyer.
With Hrok the magic user, Annar the fighter, and Antii the specialist by her side, she plans to get the hell off of this island and never eat another piece of seaweed bread again.
Signy is not a very complicated character. She's basically interested in 3 things: fame, power, and wealth, in that order. Her master took her on as apprentice when he was still pretty young, so her prospects of taking over the prestigious shaman role while she's still young enough to enjoy it are slim.
At 19, Signy is brash, full of herself, and totally committed to the traditions of tribal life. Even her dreams of grandeur consist of finding (or founding) a new tribe in which she can be the uncontested spiritual leader, killing a polar bear with her bare hands, having the luxury of a wood fire, and hearing bards sing her adventures before she's too deaf to hear them. Deviations from tradition and the status quo make her very uncomfortable, as do acts that conflict with the overall survival of the tribe.
Physically, it's hard to tell where the furs, paint, and filth end and Signy begins. Her hair is in matted braids, her face is covered in white and black paint, and she wears only white furs that she's happy to let you believe are polar bear, but which are actually rabbit and fox. She also has claw-like scars on her face that she tells everyone are a mark from the Polar Bear, but stories vary from villager to villager on what really caused them.
